APPLICATION OF TYPICAL ALGORITHMS OF IMAGE COMPRESSION FOR COMPRESSION OF MEASURING DATA
In this paper we study the possibility of image compression algorithms, PNG, JPEG and JPEG 2000, to compress the measuring data formed as two-dimensional objects. Dependence of compression coefficient on the ratio of the image sides and the coding method of the initial data is investigated. The results obtained allow selecting image parameters, optimal for compression of the telemechanical data.
