MODELING OF THE MADELUNG CONSTANT FOR CRYSTALS OF CUBIC SYNGONY. I

A method of compact description of the crystal lattice in the vector-matrix notation is proposed. An algorithm of computer-aided calculation of the Madelung constant is given. The calculation results of the Madelung constant for the simple cubic crystal lattices are considered and analyzed in the first part of the paper.
