Adequate Self-Identification of the Population as a Key Factor for Consolidation of Russia at the Far East
The population of the Russian Far East experiences hard deprivation enhanced with actual decline in living standards. Reducing of regional privileges, unfavourable climatic conditions, the increasing number of Chinese immigrants are the major factors, weakening the social structure of the Far East. The social policy aimed at the long-term development of the region can improve the situation.
