Study of Traffic Characteristics on the Solar Dangerous Parts of the Roads
Investigation results of the effect of solar dazzling (SD) on traffic characteristics are given. The measurements were conducted on 5 federal-region roads in the Far Eastern region of Russia. The conclusion has been made that at a dual highway the trajectory of motion shifts to the right, the longer being the length of the dangerous part the greater the shift. Under SD the velocity of the traffic drops to 21-34 km/h on average.
