A METHOD FOR MEASURING FUEL INJECTION RATE IN CYLINDERS OF A LOCOMOTIVE DIESEL UNDER DRIVING TESTS
The authors suggest a new dimensionless complex, a criterion for fuel supply, defined on the basis of the parameters of measured pressure impulse in the inject line of a diesel and specifications of the injector. The paper presents the results of laboratory research for possibility of indirect measurement of cyclic fuel supply and the criterion equation for definition of this indicator of work of a diesel engine, obtained through generalization of the experimental data for the fuel equipment of diesel locomotive engine 16ChN26/26.
