PECULIARITY OF LOGGING IN THE FORESTS OF THE RUSSIAN FAR EAST

Current methods of logging and technological processes of cutting used in the Far Eastern forests are estimated. Rational ways and methods of logging developed by scientific organizations are broken everywhere. Considerable degradation of forests is observed on a large scale; valuable coniferous forests give way to softwood species. Now it is necessary to change ways and methods of forest exploitation to prevent predominance of disrupted and low-density forests.
