Lagrange’s Multipliers Method for Solving the Obstacle Problem

The duality scheme based on the modified Lagrange functional is examined for the obstacle problem. The properties of the modified Lagrange functional are studied. The iteration method for finding the saddle point is investigated; the convergence theorem of the method in the initial space has been proved.
