Attacks on the Bank Image: Theoretical View on the Anthropologic Nature of the Phenomenon

Image risks take a special place among the numerous threats which initiate recession or even collapse of commercial banks business. The nature of image risks makes impossible for the credit institutions to count on high quality risk management. The peculiarity of this phenomenon is that image risks are not directly related to a bank, they appear and function mainly outside the “commercial bank” dynamic system. During global financial crisis image risks become a very dangerous instrument for competitive activity and a reason of mass bankruptcy even of those banks that have remarkably strong and stable positions.
